Perceptual Robots has now launched on Patreon

Robotics for the masses!

The aim of Perceptual Robots is to take robotics to the people, to allow anyone to get involved and build robots. And you don’t need a PhD! Join the community now on Patreon.

What is Patreon?

Patreon.com is crowdfunding website that links up creators with patrons. This enables the patron to join a community of something important to them and to provide support.  For the creator it provides a sustainable income for them to continue creating. Patrons pay a subscription, as little as $1 a month, to be part of the community and receive rewards as defined by the creator.

The Approach

The conventional approach to robotics is more complicated than it need be, and has fundamental problems, namely the problem of building models of the world and coping with unpredictable disturbances.

A new approach overcomes both of these problems with a radical, yet simple, re-engineering of the concepts and architecture of robotic systems.  With this new approach and new understanding of the behaviour of living systems, robotics can be made more accessible to everyone. The purpose of this project is to develop robots using this easier approach and share that knowledge with others.

Launched

Perceptual Robots has now launched, you can help to progress the development by joining the community and being part of this exciting new project at the Perceptual Robots page.
